From frigid winter hikes to bluebird days in the backcountry, the Beta AR Jacket rises to the challenge. Your go-to hardshell for every mountain mission, its hybrid construction holds up to snow, sleet, and strong summit winds. Ultra durable GORE-TEX PRO ePE on the yoke and arms resists abrasion, while a lighter version on the body reduces weight and bulk. The result? A fully featured jacket that delivers what you need, where you need it.

What's been updated: Updated with GORE-TEX PRO ePE fabrics, free from intentionally added PFAS. New patterning minimizes fabric waste, saving 800 metres of material—the equivalent of 400 jackets—in the production process. Enhanced fabric lamination and updated cordlocks improve durability.

Product tip: The new ePE membrane technology is lighter and thinner, but just as strong and durable as the materials we used before.   You may notice the face fabric “wetting out” slightly faster in products with ePE membranes, but rest assured this does not affect the waterproofing of the membrane itself. If you notice the fabric wetting out faster than you’d like, simply wash the jacket and dry it to remove the oil contamination and bring the DWR back to its full power.
